HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has a new dedicated Business Payment Support Service.

If, in the current business climate, you're worried about being able to meet tax, National Insurance, VAT or other payments owed to HMRC, you can call their Business Payment Support Line on 0845 302 1435.

The service is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm Mon-Fri, and 8am to 4pm at the weekend.

Any callers to this service will need to supply their tax reference number, details of the tax they will have trouble paying and a date they expect to be able to pay.
