This web site is a shopping portal owned and maintained by the Association of Commerce in Eltham (ACE). It is for the use of those that want to buy something in Eltham Town Centre whether it be goods, services, meals, leisure pursuits etc.
The site provides news of Eltham Town Centre events and activities plus a directory of all businesses operating in the Town Centre.
The directory shows a basic level of information about every business, which is their name, what they do and their address / telephone details.
For businesses that have shown their support for Eltham Town Centre by joining ACE and thereby contributing to the development of Eltham Town Centre as a shopping and business centre, the site will display more detailed information such as a profile of the business, Address details, Telephone and Fax numbers, Web site if they have one, Location map and an optional picture gallery to display other business information such as views of the shop or service areas, product pictures, staff pictures etc.
We hope you will show your appreciation of businesses that are ACE members, and thereby helping with the development of your Town Centre by gracing them with your business. You will recognise ACE members by a window sticker displaying an ACE logo.
The web site also allows you the option of signing up to our email service which will alert you to events and special offers availble in the Town Centre. Such emails will allow you to plan your shopping more effectively and make best use of available bargains.
ACE members also allow you to email them from this site using feedback forms on their portal page.
With such great communications we will create a Town Centre that is much more responsive to your needs and wants and therefore allow you to reduce your carbon footprint by not travelling miles to some remote shopping centre.
You owe it to yourself and all in Eltham to make best use of your Town Centre shops and provide feedback that will help it improve.

ACE is the Association of Commerce in Eltham.
The role of ACE is very simple and that is to make business work in Eltham Town Centre and tills ring in Eltham Town Centre shops.
The model is simple...
All local shops and businesses pay an annual fee of £75 to ACE
All National stores need to support the Eltham Town Centre Partnership (ETCP) which has a wider role in developing the Town Centre. Support is given by means of an annual subscription of £1,200. ETCP supporters automatically get ACE membership.

ACE has one level of membership for all businesses in Eltham Town Centre charged at £75 per year.
There are however two routes to membership. These are as follows...
Local small independent businesses - £75 per year paid direct to ACE
National and large businesses must be members of the Eltham Town Centre Partnership (ETCP) at £1,200 per year. ETCP pay ACE the ACE membership fee of £75 per year.
All members are invited to participate in ACE activities on an equal footing.

The site we hope is fairly self explanatory but for those visiting for the first time a few words on how to make best use of the site. You may find it useful to print this page or copy and paste the contents to a file on your PC.
The Town Centre news can be read by either clicking on an abstract shown on the left hand side of the home or other pages. This will take you to the news page proper and display the full article for the abstract chosen. When on the news page you can see a page of abstracts showing on the left hand side and the current article showing on the right. After reading an article you can select other aticles showing on the left, or page backward and forward through other pages of extracts to see what articles are available. The abstracts will be stored in date order with latest showing first.
To find a business you can do this in several ways as shown below...
1. Basic busines search
(a) Select a main category from the top horizontal menu (Shops, Services, Dining, Leisure or Arts)
(b) Select a sub category from the business search area.
(c) Select a business from the list showing on the right hand side
(d) Click through the tabs showing on the business page to see all about their business
2. Filtered search
(a) Either choose a main filter from the blue bar menu or if yoy prefer use the filter box near the bottom of the page (Student discounts, Sunday opening, ACE members, Greenwich card)
(b) you will see the directory subcategories change as the those excluded by the filter disapear. The search box header will also indicate that a certain filter is in effect.
(c) Select a business from one of the showing sub categories and you will see their detailed pages of information. If they are a non ACE member you will only see adress details. If they are an ACE member you will see three or four tabs which can be clicked for more information including Business profile, special offers, Location map and optional picture gallery.
3. Keyword search
(a) Click on the keyword search at the bottom of the directory search area and enter either one word or part word of the business name or another keyword of your choice to find a business, product or service.
4. Travel info
(a) Click on the mode of travel you are interested in at the bottom of the page to see latest advice and information regarding that form of travel.
